The Rio Conventions Pavilion at COP 26
At UNFCCC COP 26, the Rio Conventions Pavilion will be hosted by the Global Environment Facility at the Joint Pavilion of the GEF and the Global Climate Fund.
Sessions of the Rio Conventions Pavilion will be held between Monday, 1 November and Friday 12 November 2021, at the GEF/GCF Pavilion, Hall 5 of the SEC Campus (Blue Zone).
The sessions will address themes that cut across the objectives of the three Conventions, including: aligning financial flows to meet the objectives of the Conventions; ecosystem restoration; the interlinkages between health, climate change, biodiversity and desertification, and a One Health approach; and the contributions that can be made by the three Conventions towards sustainable and healthy food systems.
Collectively, they aim to highlight opportunities for coordinated action towards land degradation neutrality, carbon-neutrality, halting the loss of biodiversity and to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals by 2030.
